Konami began to achieve success with hit arcade games such as 1981's Frogger, Scramble, and Super Cobra. 1982 saw Konami expanding into the home consumer market.  Later releasing games for the Atari 2600, the MSX and the Nintendo Entertainment System. Numerous Konami franchises hit big with home consoles, and the arcades, such as Gradius, Castlevania, Contra and Metal Gear.
